For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Free Movies Hub acts as the data controller for the personal data described below.

We have deliberately built the Service to collect as little personal information as possible. You do not need to register, log in, or provide any personal details (name, email, phone number, or payment information) to browse and watch content.

2.1 Information you provide

For the standard streaming app, we do not ask you to provide personal information. There is no public sign-up or login. (Administrative accounts used by our own staff to manage the content catalogue are internal and are not part of the consumer Service.)

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you use the Service, the following technical information is collected automatically:

• IP address — for network delivery, security, approximate region, and fraud/abuse prevention (standard server request logs).
• Device & browser information — for compatibility and rendering (e.g. device manufacturer, model, OS version, browser/WebView version, TV vs. phone, and platform such as webOS/Tizen/Roku/Fire TV). In our Android app, a device-information bridge is available for diagnostics.
• Usage and diagnostic data — for operating the Service, detecting errors, and basic performance.

We do not collect precise geolocation, contacts, microphone, camera, SMS, or health data.

2.3 Information stored on your device

The Service stores a small amount of non-personal information locally on your device to remember your preferences, for example your chosen layout (grid vs. rows) and the last item you had focused. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us as personal data.

2.4 Cookies and similar technologies

The Service itself uses minimal local storage as described above. However, third-party services we integrate set their own cookies and identifiers, including:

• Advertising tags (e.g. a Google advertising/conversion tag on some of our properties) may set cookies used for measuring ad performance and remarketing.
• Embedded YouTube players set cookies and collect viewing/technical data when you play a video. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie.com) embed where possible, but some playback paths and all video thumbnails are served directly from YouTube/Google domains, which may set cookies.
• Our video-ad provider (ZEASN / Whale Player) may use device and advertising identifiers to deliver and measure ads.

You can control cookies through your browser or device settings, though blocking them may affect playback or ads.

The Service is free and supported by advertising. We display pre-roll video ads through a third-party ad provider (ZEASN / Whale Player), and some of our properties run Google advertising/measurement tags.

To serve and measure ads, these providers may process technical and device information (such as IP address, device type and model, platform, advertising identifiers, and ad-interaction events). This processing is governed by the providers’ own privacy policies. Ads may be disabled on certain platforms.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some advertising cookie activity may, however, be considered “sharing” or a “sale” under certain US state privacy laws — see Section 8.

• Deliver, operate, and maintain the streaming Service;
• Display content correctly across web, TV, and mobile devices;
• Show and measure advertising that keeps the Service free;
• Detect, prevent, and investigate errors, abuse, fraud, and security incidents;
• Understand aggregate usage to improve performance and reliability;
• Comply with legal obligations.

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

• Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve the Service and to deliver basic advertising that funds it, balanced against your rights;
• Consent — where required for non-essential advertising/analytics cookies and identifiers (you may withdraw consent at any time);
• Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information to comply with the law.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as follows:

• Service providers / processors — cloud hosting and storage (we host on Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud Run and Firebase Hosting), which process data on our behalf to run the Service.
• Advertising partners — ZEASN / Whale Player and Google advertising services, as described in Section 3.
• Embedded content providers — YouTube/Google, when you play a video or our app deep-links you into the native YouTube app. Your interaction with YouTube is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Legal and safety — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or us.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

Movie and video metadata shown in the Service comes from our own catalogue and does not contain your personal data. Video playback is provided through YouTube. When you watch, you interact with YouTube/Google, who may collect data under their own terms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services, and we encourage you to review their policies:

8.1 EEA / UK / Switzerland (GDPR)

You have the right to: access your personal data; request rectification or erasure; restrict or object to processing; request data portability; and withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Because the standard Service does not require an account, we typically hold little or no information that identifies you personally. To exercise a right, contact support@freemovieshub.net — we may need additional information to locate any data associated with your request.

8.2 California (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used and shared, to delete personal information, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

In the past 12 months the categories of personal information that may be collected are identifiers (e.g. IP address, device/advertising identifiers) and internet/device activity (e.g. usage and diagnostic data). We do not sell personal information for monetary value; however, advertising cookies and identifiers may constitute “sharing”/“sale” under the CCPA. 8.3 Other regions

Residents of other regions may have similar rights under local law. Contact us and we will respond as required by applicable law.

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Service has no age gate, and it integrates third-party advertising and YouTube content that may not be appropriate for children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact support@freemovieshub.net and we will take steps to delete it.

We retain automatically collected technical and log data only as long as needed for the purposes described above — typically a short period for security, diagnostics, and abuse prevention — after which it is deleted or aggregated. Third-party advertising and content providers retain data under their own policies.

We use industry-standard measures to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and reputable cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform). Administrative access is protected by authentication and short-lived, secure session tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We are hosted on Google Cloud Platform and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where personal data is transferred out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses) as required by applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
